This Privacy Policy describes the Melody Saver iPhone app, published by Anderson Lentz da Silva. Melody Saver captures hummed or sung melody ideas and turns them into MIDI on the device. It does not require an account.

What stays on the iPhone

Microphone audio is used to record your take. Pitch tracking, note segmentation, optional on-device speech for lyrics, and MIDI export all run on the device. We do not operate a server that receives your recordings or notes. There are no ads and no tracking SDKs.

Optional iCloud backup

If you choose “Back up my ideas,” captures (audio and related idea data) sync through Apple iCloud / CloudKit so they can appear on your other devices signed into the same Apple ID. That backup is off unless you turn it on. Apple’s iCloud terms apply to that copy. You can leave ideas on this phone only.

Permissions

Microphone — to record hums and sung lines.

Speech recognition — optional, on-device, so a take can show lyrics. Audio is not sent off the phone for recognition.

What we do not collect

We do not sell data. We do not use your audio for advertising. Version 1.0 does not include an analytics SDK. Diagnostic logs on the device (OSLog) are names of events only — never audio, notes, titles, or file paths.

Children

Melody Saver is not directed at children and is not in the Kids Category.

Your choices

Turn off iCloud backup in Settings to keep ideas on this phone. Uninstalling the app removes local content. iCloud copies, if you enabled backup, are managed through your Apple ID.
